3 Reasons to Consider BLIS
1. Simple
- Daily Dealing – daily transactions are available to clients without any lock-up or non-call periods.
- Above Cash Return Potential3 – a portfolio with a target return of 1.5% – 2% in excess of the RBA Overnight Cash Rate.
- Quarterly Distributions4 – the contractual nature of providing investors with a regular income stream.
2. Resilient
- High Quality – BLIS’s investment portfolio has an average high-quality credit rating and does not invest in securities with a rating below A-. Maintaining exposure to highly-rated securities reduces the probability of capital impairment.
- Floating-Rate – the portfolio is primarily invested in floating-rate instruments5, which may substantially mitigate mark-to-market fluctuations from an ever-changing bond curve.
- Secured Instruments – BLIS primarily invests in securities which have an explicit pool of ring-fenced assets, providing the requisite cashflows and a substantial level of collateral.
3. Consistent
- Lower Volatility – the Fund invests in assets which have a track record of exhibiting lower volatility compared to traditional fixed income portfolios as well as equities.
- Specialised Expertise – the portfolio management team have an average of 30 years’ experience specialising in the securitised debt market, providing a competitive advantage relative to non-specialised investors.
- Principal Repayment – this offers exposure to amortising securities, which regularly pay down principal and interest. All else being equal, this provides an ongoing enhancement of the credit quality of the securities, which have a smaller loan balance outstanding over the same underlying asset.
