Lee Burnell
Independent Director

Lee has 14 years’ asset management, investment management and operations experience in the infrastructure, utility and oil and gas sectors. He is co founder and Executive Director of Burford Infrastructure Partners, a boutique investment and advisory house focused exclusively on unlisted infrastructure.
Prior to establishing Burford, Lee was an Investment Executive at AMP Capital Investors responsible for originating and managing investments in the energy, water and social infrastructure sectors. As part of this role Lee was the interim CEO of the Domain Principal Group and led its transformation from a property trust to Australia’s largest for-profit residential aged care provider. Lee is an experienced director having served on a number of investee company boards.
After beginning his career as an operations engineer with Shell International, Lee held M&A and integration related roles with Enron Europe and Centrica plc, the UK’s largest utility company.
Lee has an MBA (with Distinction) from London Business School, a Bachelor of Engineering (with Honours) from the University of Bath and a Masters in Philosophy from the University of Bath.
